Anonymous -- I think you're confusing this midwestern act, the "New" Dixie Demons, who recorded in Chicago during 1936-37, with the Dixie Demons, a different lineup (though with a similar approach) that recorded in New York in 1935. Your lineup seems to match the 1935 group pretty closely, though I always wondered if it was in fact Jimmy Dorsey playing clarinet (he recorded for Decca in New York, if I recall, right before or right after the Dixie Demons sessions, and of course McKinley was his drummer). Lytell makes more sense. Just out of curiosity, what was your source for the lineup?
