My mother's first cousin.
ReplyDeleteIs Jack still living. I played in a band in Natchez MS with him about 35 years ago.
DeleteCousin Jack passed away in 2010. We celebrate him continuously, especially at reunion time. He was, is dear to us. Our whole family is precious, in the best way. Lots of great music, he represented us out in the broader world.
DeleteDang. Uncle Jack's gone...
ReplyDeleteHe played with my dad for years in the 70s and 80s. Even dated my Grandma for awhile. Unfortunately, when dad quit playing we lost contact with him. Haven't seen him since I was a kid.
Such a pleasant surprise, getting this today, Rick. I'll bet you could add to our collection of anecdotes. May I ask your dad's name? Jack's family continues to live in Purvis, MS. His grans post music on the Youngblood family page. Thank you for the reach out today, Rick. Sandra Stanley
